Allan Company's paper grade definitions are either the same as, or largely derived from the ISRI Scrap Specifications Circular published by the Institute of Scrap Metal Recycling Industries Inc.

Consists of printed or unprinted paper sheets, shavings, and cuttings of colored or white sulphite or sulphate ledger, bond, writing, and other papers which have similar fiber and filler content. Includes more than 10% colored paper. May include a small percentage of groundwood computer printout.

Prohibitive materials may not exceed 2%.

Total outthrows may not exceed 5%.
